5 tips how to enjoy summer in the garden with your children

5 tips how to enjoy summer in the garden with your children
The garden is the perfect place for children to let off steam. But while they are rollicking, you are worried about what they are about to do next. Does this sound familiar to you? Fortunately, there are activities that are both fun and safe. There is no risk of becoming hearing-impaired or having to call the fire brigade.

Which are they?

Ping-pong

Ping-pong, also known as table tennis, is a simple and popular game among both children and adults. It is also relatively safe for children. There is no risk of nasty falls or fractures. The ping-pong table is compact and mobile, so you can place it anywhere in the garden. If you have a sheltered veranda, your children can play even in the rain. And you can join them.

Car racetrack

Build a super car track for your children and they will love you! It is a great way to teach children the traffic rules. And you don't have to stick to just the cars themselves. You can also build a city with your children along the roads and tracks. The advantage is that children can use any toys they find at home. Or they can also build houses out of cardboard and turn them into, for example, a post office, a train station or even a school. You can use unnecessary cobblestones or some fabric. In short, anything that the cars can drive on with ease. And what could such a racetrack look like? Take a look at the photos.

Painting on stones

Sometimes you can make something nice with your children. For example, try painting on stones and pebbles with them. You don't need any hard-to-find materials - there are definitely some stones lying around in your garden or its surroundings. The children can collect them themselves. Then all you have to do is grab some watercolours and get down to work.

Board games

Are the board games obsolete stuff of the past? No way! No doubt you may not pull today’s children into playing Ludo. There are many games from the world of films and books (Lord of the Rings), or based on popular computer games (e.g. The Witcher), which children absolutely adore. With a properly chosen game, children develop logical thinking and learn to think strategically. Card, board and educational games or even cracking brain teasers are the perfect options. The advantage is that board games are predominantly intended for multiple players. This way you can entertain the whole family.

Photo workshop

Photography is a great way to express feelings and awaken the artist's soul in your kids. They can take decent photos with their mobile phones. If you still want them to learn to take proper pictures, get a camera and try taking photos together. Show your children the basic rules and tricks that you can find on Internet. Polaroid cameras are a hit this year. You can create a nice and original album with such photos. This way you can preserve memories of gorgeous summer.
