How to arrange a guest room
Do you have an unused room at home, such as a former children’s room or an unnecessary study? Turn it into a guest room!

Clean and paint first

When renovating a room, take the opportunity to completely clear out the entire space. Check the condition of the floor and windows, paint or wallpaper it, and clean the floor thoroughly. Visitors should not feel like they are in a warehouse of unnecessary things in the guest room, but this does not mean that it has to be empty.

Do you need storage space and at the same time want to occasionally put a guest somewhere? Use a built-in wardrobe for this purpose, or separate the storage area directly, for example with Japanese walls. You will get enough space and your guests will not feel uncomfortable.

The furniture can be second-hand

It is not necessary to spend large amounts of money on equipment. A guest bed can be, for example, an unused bed of a family member, or from a second-hand shop or a store with cheap furniture. A double bed or a sleeper sofa is ideal so that at least two people can sleep in the room. In addition to the bed, all that is needed is a bedside table and a dresser or wardrobe.

A cosy environment for a few crowns will be completed with pillows and other textiles, pictures or framed family photos. Neutral colours are more suitable, on the other hand, in the guest room you can experiment with impunity and try out painting, textiles or other interior modifications to see what impression they will give in reality before implementing them in the rest of the apartment.

You can also make your guests' stay more pleasant with a small bookcase, a discarded audio system or an old television.

Guest room shading

If you don't have any previous shading in your guest room, or if the original shading is already worn out, consider it. Day and night roller shutters, for example, will provide pleasant darkening for your guests with no need for structural modifications. Classic aluminium horizontal blinds also provide simple shading with no major investments.

NEW on the Market: Aluminium ARTOSI Carport
Since 2019, when we presented our bestseller, the ARTOSI bioclimatic aluminium pergola, at Coneco Building Trade Fair in Bratislava, the whole system has undergone many improvements and various accessories were added to it, such as LED lighting, ALFA-ZIP and ALFA-ZIP PLUS screen roller shutters, and ARTOSI GLASS sliding panels. But now we are taking innovation to a whole new level by perfectly matching the pergola and a carport on the same property thanks to our new product on the market – the ARTOSI Carport.
