Roller blinds. Do you know them all?
Unlike blinds, roller blinds form a single shading surface and when pulled, we can achieve full blackout, so they cannot be tilted. However, they have a number of other properties. Roller blinds can be aluminum outdoor, exterior screen with a special fabric intended for outdoor use, interior fabric or roof blinds for indoor use. Let's imagine them.

Outdoor aluminum roller blinds

Exterior window blinds are especially suitable for bedroom windows, because they can completely darken the room when fully lowered and also soundproof it. These roller blinds have a high thermoregulation effect, saving heating costs, and in the summer, air conditioning, while preventing heat from the sun's rays from penetrating the interior. At the same time, they create a barrier that is difficult to overcome in the event of a break-in.

A great representative of outdoor roller blinds is the Vivera roller blind from ISOTRA, which can be installed additionally to the window frame, for example when insulating a house, replacing windows or other reconstruction, or it is installed in a special lintel, which is then rejected and the roller blind is almost invisible on the house when fully retracted into the box. It can be controlled manually or electronically using a switch or remote control. When equipped with a motor, all roller blinds in the house can be connected to the so-called smart home system and controlled together with other devices using a mobile phone in a special mobile application.

Of course, there is a choice of many color variants of the slats, box, bottom and guide rails. An interesting and very functional variant is the Vivera Sectra roller blind, where there is a hidden insect screen in one box with the roller blind, which can be controlled independently of the roller blind.

Screen fabric roller blinds for exteriors

Screen outdoor roller blinds are made of a special fabric that can have different degrees of translucency. If you choose a Blackout fabric, you will achieve complete blackout. The main advantage of screen roller blinds is their partial light and air permeability and variability. This type of roller blinds provides shade without losing the view to the exterior, but at the same time it makes it difficult to see into the interiors from the outside and thus maintains privacy.

A kind of chameleon among this type of roller blinds is the ALFA-ZIP screen roller blind and its ALFA-ZIP PLUS variant, which offers shading of larger areas. ALFA is a Czech development product of ISOTRA and, in addition to classic installation in windows, it is very often used as a screen to the sides of pergolas.

Screen fabric roller blinds include a wide product group, so everyone will certainly find their own for a given purpose. In addition, ISOTRA also offers the Sky roof screen roller blind, which is used to shade roof windows. In summer, it protects the attic from overheating, in winter it prevents heat loss. In addition, it protects the window from weather damage and dampens outside noise from rain.

Interior fabric roller blinds – so many options!

In the ISOTRA range, interior roller blinds are a wide product group, which includes almost a dozen products. This popular modern style of shading includes a wide range of placement options (directly on the window – e.g. Luna or Rollite, on the window frame – e.g. Verra, Nemo, in front of the window frame – Larra or Sunlite), control (chain, handle), design (plastic, metal), but most importantly a very wide selection of fabrics. Fabrics can be selected not only by color and pattern, but also by type of material. Those containing fiberglass are suitable for allergy sufferers, while fabrics with a special surface treatment will create a safer home environment because they are non-flammable.

Day-night fabrics deserve special attention, as they allow you to literally play with light. This unconventional shading combines the advantages of blinds and roller shutters – they allow you to smoothly regulate the light and are also a great interior accessory that can be matched to different colors. Their principle lies in the alternation of transparent and opaque stripes. By overlapping two layers, you can then regulate the intensity of light – if you set them so that the semi-transparent stripe overlaps with the dark one, you will prevent the penetration of sunlight, but if you set them so that the light stripes overlap, you will allow light to penetrate the interior.

The product portfolio also includes an interior roof roller blind designed for attic windows. The roller blind is manually operated by pulling it up and down by gripping the lower profile. A telescopic control rod with a hook or a joint and hook measuring 50-200 cm is used to operate the roller blind on higher windows. In our fabric sampler, you can choose fabrics marked for roof roller blinds, including fully blackout ones or, for example, with children's patterns for our little ones.

If we want something special from a roller blind, we should definitely turn to the Sunlite interior fabric roller blind, which can create a mysterious atmosphere, a pleasant feeling or an intimate touch. Its uniqueness lies in the possibility of adding LED lighting located in the upper decorative strip, which, in combination with the selected fabric, will magically transform your interior.

Which option will be ideal for your home?
